NID’s entrance exam Design Aptitude Test (DAT) which is also popularly known as the National Entrance Examination for Design (NEED) is one of the most regarded entrance exams for design in India and also one of the most difficult ones along with IDC’s CEED.
IIT UCEED EXAM
The Industrial Design Center (IDC) of IIT Bombay conducts the UCEED exam every year for admission into 4 years B.Des and 5 years Integrated M.Des courses at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIITDM Jabalpur. NIFT
National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is a group of fashion colleges in India. It was established in 1986 under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India and is an institution of design, management and technology for the international fashion business. NIFT was granted statutory status in 2006, empowering it to award degrees and other academic distinctions.
NATA
National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is being conducted by COA since 2006, in terms of the provisions of CoA (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) Regulations, 1983, published in the Gazette of India.
IIT JEE B.ARCH
JEE Main Paper 2 focuses on the BArch admissions offered by the various IITs, National Institute of Technology (NITs), School of Planning and Architecture (SPAs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs). Bachelor in Architecture Engineering is a thriving programme and the number of registrations for this course is on a constant rise each year.
IIT CEED EXAM
CEED is conducted by IIT Bombay. It is a qualifying examination for admission to Master of Design (MDes) programmes at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur, and IIT Kanpur, and to Ph.D programmes in Design at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT Kanpur.
